What Is PAST-LIFE REGRESSION?
Past-Life Regression (PLR) is a hypnosis technique used to guide an individual through past-life scenarios in order to find clarity, understanding, and healing in the current life of the individual. There is evidence suggesting that Past-Life Regression has been in existence in some form or another for millennia. In fact, it is said that when Buddha became enlightened, he was able to remember countless past lives. In other words, there is more than one way to glimpse one’s past lives. The practice of using hypnosis to achieve Past-Life Regression came about accidentally through individual client sessions of hypnotherapists, most notably Dr. Michael Newton, Dr. Brian L. Weiss, and Dolores Cannon. Each of them practiced independently of one another at different times and locations, yet had similar findings and experiences when they were practicing Age Regressionโa flawed practice which is now considered a big no-no amongst well-trained hypnotherapists. Besides accidentally bringing their clients/patients to past life scenarios through hypnosis, upon further exploration, each also further discovered that therapeutic benefits appeared to come about from the experience. This is how modern-day Past-Life Regression hypnotherapy came to be popularized and practiced independently of Age Regression..

THE TECHNIQUE I USE…
While I am trained in both QHHT and traditional Past-Life Regression techniques, my sessions mostly embrace the QHHT technique with some components that are unique to me and my sessions. In my experience, regardless of the technique that is utilized, no two sessions are alike. Even if a client comes to me multiple times, each session will be unique and therefore will unfold differently. While I do follow a process, itโs also crucial for me to stay open and flexible to make adjustments as your inner wisdom speaks and highlights what is important for you to experience and know. Therefore, I approach each session from moment to moment.
In fact, before we begin, I like to start our session with a joint meditation from the Vedic tradition. This will not only help you to slowly move beyond your critical mind into a theta brainwave state and heighten your physical interoceptive awareness, but it will also help me to enter a more embodied state so that I can be fully present and connected to truly hear you and facilitate the session with all of my being. While there is a process to the experience that I will guide you through, your inner wisdom has its own mandate for the session that we will also need to roll with to get the most out of the experience.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
As a rule of thumb, please arrive with no expectations. Trust that your soul has its own plan for how the session is to evolve and what you are meant to know.
When you arrive, we will first discuss what you are interested in learning about yourself, how the process works, and overall prepare you for the session. While hypnosis is effective, I only use a handful of traditional hypnosis techniques in my sessions. I have found that meditation techniques most consistently help my clients bypass their critical minds and slip into a theta brainwave state. There is also a sacredness about meditation that helps with this process. This is no surprise as the session is about speaking with your soul, and meditation practices provide 2,000 year-old ways to tap into that part of you that knows.
In fact, accounts from some contemplative traditions have specified the emergence of beyond-human knowing as a side effect of meditation. Interestingly, there is a growing body of scientific research on the effects of meditation on psi abilities, such as precognition and clairvoyance. *Please kindly note that I have not yet had the opportunity to read through recent psi and meditation research to verify its validity. However, based on my experiences with my mother, myself, and my clients, I have seen the connection between meditation and psi abilities in action.* I can verify that countless well-designed scientific studies are continually finding support for the effectiveness of meditation and mindfulness on human physical and mental health.
At your discretion, I may also use some devices to keep you in a theta brainwave stateโsuch as a PEMF device, AVE (Audio-Visual Entrainement) equipment, and/or Isochronic tones. These devices are not necessary, but they are helpful to maintain a theta state as the session gets underway.

The main part of the session is when the Past-Life Regression/QHHT happens. During this time, I will use suggestions to guide you to a past life and will ask you to verbally describe what you are experiencing. For this reason, we will record audio of your session so that you have something to refer to in the weeks, months, and years after our session.
We might explore just one past life or a few. I have also guided some sessions where my clients either slipped in between lives or were not meant to experience any past lives but rather to speak with their Higher Selves to gain knowledge and healing. In some cases, loved ones who have passed have also come to visit. For this reason, itโs best not to have set expectations but rather stay open to the wisdom of your soul.
You might experience visuals, impressions, or just a knowingness of your past life/lives. While visualization is usually the main inner sense that is engaged during these sessions, itโs not the only one that is available to you. In fact, if you are one of the many people in this world who cannot visualize, you can definitely still do Past-Life Regression sessions. Instead of visualizing, you will engage your other inner senses to get an impression of what is happening during the session.
I will then guide you to your Higher Self to do a body scan and ask any questions you have given me before the session (details about what to bring to the session are listed below). I will then guide you back into a waking state of consciousness and give you time to resume activity at a relaxed comfortable pace. During this time, we will discuss your session to help you assimilate what you experienced.
An interesting phenomenon in Past-Life Regressions is that clients demonstrate remarkable self-regulation even in deep trance states. While you may not be making conscious decisions during the experience, your subconscious mind acts as a protective guide. Clients often naturally signal when they’ve accessed what they need, when they need to move away from difficult material, or when the session feels complete. This inner wisdom operates whether you’re fully aware or in a deeper state. While I am here to facilitate your experience, trust that your system knows how to navigate this process safely as well.
The average Past-Life Regression session lasts about 2 hours in total (including the beginning and end discussions), although in some cases it can take less than 2 hours or even up to 3+ hours. If possible, please block off a minimum of 2.5 hours for your session. I am also trained in Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), and if you would specifically like me to conduct a QHHT session with you, please let me know. Average QHHT session lengths are between 3-6 hours and this additional time would incur an additional cost. However, kindly note that I incorporate several QHHT elements in my Past-Life Regression sessions, so the largest difference would be the length of time spent on the pre-hypnosis and the post-hypnosis discussions. QHHT relies heavily on the hypnotherapist guiding the client through integration, however I have found that most of my clients prefer to reach their own conclusions independently as they reflect and listen to the session recording on their own time during the months, weeks, and years after the session. Also, while time in a hypnotic state can last up to 2 hours is rare cases, I have found that most of my clients naturally last 45 min – 75 min in hypnosis before the higher self steps forward and says “Good Bye,” indicating that it’s time to end the session. Some of my clients even naturally guide themselves out of the hypnotic state when their body, mind, and soul feel that they have gleaned enough information. Your mind is naturally protective of you and will not let you to stay in a hypnotic state more than is necessary (remember, theta is considered a liminal brainwave state for a reason), so even if you would like to do a pure QHHT session, I will never forcefully drag out out the process.

IS PAST-LIFE REGRESSION REAL?
A theory has been posited that when we bypass the critical mind and enter into a theta brainwave state, we have the ability to access memories of our past lives. In all honesty, however, we donโt really know for sure. We cannot confirm that what you are seeing in your mind’s eye or experiencing while doing a session is real. Regardless, however, there appear to be therapeutic benefits to Past-Life Regression & QHHT experiences. For this reason, Past-Life Regression is widely practiced by psychiatrists, psychologists and hypnotherapists that have witnessed its therapeutic power.
If there is indeed a connection between the mind and the body, it stands to reason that if a person were to discover that a potential past-life trauma is somehow being reflected in their present life, the person can then more easily release that trauma and thereby heal its impact on this life. After all, the traumatic source is in another lifetime, not in this one, so it should not hold any power in this life. So, in this way, the person experiencing a session acts as the healer of their own soul and subconscious mind & body through the experience. I am just the trusty guide that goes along for the ride.
WHAT IF I GO BACK TO A TIME IN MY PRESENT LIFE during my session?
In rare cases, a client may spontaneously drift into a memory from their current life during a PLR session, but I am trained to gently redirect us to more constructive spaces. Intentionally going back to an earlier memory in your life while in hypnosis is known as Age Regression, and interestingly PLR started when hypnotherapists found their clients regressing beyond the current lifetimes. However, while spontaneous memories may surface, intentionally directing someone back to childhood memories under hypnosisโAge Regressionโis a very different practice. While Age Regression was widely practiced in the 1980s-90s, it is now heavily frowned upon because human memory is notoriously flawed. In fact, in many U.S. states, witness accounts will be thrown out of court if it is found that the witness used hypnosis to try to recall the details of the event in question. Faulty memories have come up, and false accusations have been made due to incorrect memories that felt very real while in a hypnotic state. For this reason, Age Regression can do much more harm that good.
I do not practice Age Regression, nor will I ever recommend it to you, and I advise you to steer clear of any hypnotherapists that offer Age Regression services. It is important to note that our understanding of trauma and how to safely navigate it is still in a relatively nascent stage. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, nor is there a known “cure” for trauma at this time. However, Age Regression is definitely NOT the way to go. If childhood healing is needed, evidence-based approaches like Inner Child work or Mental & Emotional Release (MER) allow us to address past pain without the risks of memory distortion.
Remember that while in hypnosis, you are still in control and itโs excellent that you are doing this research now before your Past-Life Regression session. You now understand that memories accessed in hypnosisโwhether from this life or othersโare best approached as emotionally meaningful experiences rather than courtroom evidence.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Past-Life Regression are safe for the average individual. However, there are many above-average individuals who have taken on extra learning tasks in this life, which often surface as mental health challenges. You should NOT have a Past-Life Regression session if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Severe mental health issues (schizophrenia, psychosis, etc.)
- Severe depression
- Severe alcohol and/or drug addiction
Several challenging experiences also arise during our lives that can leave us destabilized. If you have recently experienced any of the following, it is a good idea to wait:
- Traumatic event (accident, assault, witnessed something, etc.)
- Loss of a loved one
- Relationship breakup
- Significant life change (loss of income, illness diagnosis, etc.)
If you are currently working with a mental health professional, please consult with them first to ensure that there will be no interference with your treatment plan. Please only schedule a session with me when you feel 100% ready.
